Now I can share with you what I did last week ... it was not planned I just sat one evening and my eyes fell on this chair ... There is no color I can´t stand except this shade of brown. I don't think this color is ugly,it's not that ... the reasons why the hate it are much deeper.
In my childhood, all families had just this shade of brown colored furniture, like the other colors didn't exist. Not that there was no furniture in different colors .... but "so it should be" - brown furniture is the only right choice. End of story! Something else was not accepted att all!
Well, the floors were brown, the furniture was brown, doors and windows were made of brown wood, and on top of it all on the floor were red carpets with some folk motives ... This combination is still my worst nightmare!
Do not ask why I bought this chair, I did not - I got it as a gift. No wonder that I was really happy!
So ... fate of this poor chair in my house was not very happy and cheerful ... This moved from the basement to the balcony ... from the balcony to the darkest corner of the dining room and ended up in the hallway nearest to the exit door, covered with a blanket so I couldn't se it ... When a thing is on that place in my house this means that only one thing can happen to it .... The next step is the last and leading to the final persecution out of my life.
To make a long story short, I try to create brand new life into this chair... I wouldn´t like for it to die... and in spite of my childhood and all "must" in my life I created something quite the opposite!
I think I succeeded ...
And this was how it went down

Just ran across your site. I've got to say this chair is amazing. What a precious idea for crochet. I'm going to have to give this a try, but maybe on a smaller grandchild's chair. Thanks for sharing!
